TYGES is seeking a Composite Engineer to drive innovation and optimization in pultrusion manufacturing with an industry leading power and utility equipment manufacturer based out of South Carolina. This role will focus on designing and improving composite materials, processes, and tooling to enhance product performance and production efficiency. What You’ll Do:
- Design & Development: Create and optimize pultrusion line designs, tooling, and process parameters with a focus on innovation.
- Material Selection: Analyze and select composite materials based on performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Process Engineering: Develop and refine pultrusion processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Testing & Validation: Conduct experiments to validate designs and meet performance standards.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, R&D, and quality teams to improve processes.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve process, equipment, and product quality issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s in Composite Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- 6 years of experience in composite engineering, preferably with pultrusion.
- Strong knowledge of composite materials, CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree
- Experience with automation, control systems, and regulatory standards in composite manufacturing.
Salary : $125,000 - $140,000
