Responsibilities
- Facility Maintenance & Repair: Perform general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks on hospital infrastructure, including electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC systems, and medical equipment.
- Project Management: Coordinate healthcare construction and renovation projects from start to finish, including assisting with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure construction and maintenance activities meet hospital safety standards, infection control protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Contractors: Work with external contractors, architects, and engineering teams to ensure that construction/renovation work aligns with hospital needs and timelines.
- Renovation and Expansion Projects: Assist in the planning and execution of hospital expansion projects, renovation of patient care areas, and upgrading medical equipment infrastructure.
- Budgeting & Resource Allocation: Offer help and knowledge in managing project budgets, expenditures, resource allocation for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain and communicate maintenance activities, project milestones, and compliance reports.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Technical certification in maintenance, construction, or related field preferred. 3 years of experience in hospital facility maintenance, healthcare construction, or renovation projects.
- Project management experience, including planning, coordination, and budget management.
- Understanding of facility systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and medical gas systems.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare-specific regulations and standards, including building codes, safety protocols, and infection control procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle unexpected challenges.
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and heights.
- Comfortable working in a hospital environment with exposure to potentially hazardous materials.
