Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Outbound Call Specialist to join our revenue cycle team. In this role, you will be responsible for making outbound calls to patients to resolve outstanding balances or issues, secure payment arrangements, and review accounts to make recommendations for external agency placement.
The primary function of this position is to manage self-pay aging collections, optimize company revenue opportunities, and process patient credit card payments. As an Outbound Call Specialist, you will also be responsible for pursuing company and team goals, recommending bad debt write-offs, and sharing knowledge amongst peers.
To succeed in this role, you must have excellent customer service and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and clerical skills. You should also be able to multitask effectively and work well under pressure. Additionally, you should have a comprehensive understanding of patient benefits, insurance carrier explanations of benefits, and the ability to professionally and respectfully explain these concepts to patients.
