Job Description: Asphalt Sales Representative
Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Asphalt Sales Representative to join our team. This individual will be responsible for generating new business, maintaining existing customer relationships, and driving sales of asphalt products and services. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a solid understanding of the asphalt industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and prospect new customers, including contractors, municipalities, and other potential clients in need of asphalt products and services.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and expand market share in the asphalt industry.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any issues that may arise.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on the latest asphalt products, services, and industry trends to effectively communicate the benefits of your company’s offerings to clients.
- Sales Presentations: Present asphalt solutions to potential clients through in-person meetings, presentations, and proposals, clearly explaining the value and benefits of the products.
- Negotiation and Closing: Manage the negotiation process, including pricing, terms, and contract details, and close sales effectively.
- Order Coordination: Work closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and services to customers.
- Market Research: Monitor and analyze competitor activities and market trends to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the construction, materials, or related industries.
- Knowledge of asphalt products, services, and the construction industry is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in asphalt sales or construction materials sales is highly preferred.
