Description
The Adjunct Professor, Health Information Technology is a part-time, 4.5-month faculty position responsible to the Department Chair, Health Information Technology / Health Administrative Services and Dean, School of Nursing & Health Sciences. Professors provide classroom instruction and college service.
Essential Functions and Duties
- Providing instruction in the classroom, laboratory or clinical setting for Health information technology and other Department of Health Administrative courses that the instructor is credentialed to teach
- Scheduling, maintaining, coordinating and evaluating didactic and clinical education of health information technology and health administrative students
- Counseling and advising students regarding career goals, program requirements and job placement
- Assisting in the evaluation and revision of program policies, curriculum and examinations
- Serving on College committees, and complying with all policies and regulations which govern and affect the College
- Performing other duties as assigned by dean, professional and technical programs and instructor / program coordinator and department chair, health information technology and health administrative services

Part-Time Retirement
Part-time employees are required to participate in the part-time retirement fund. The retirement fund is invested in a group fixed annuity contract with Ohio National Life Insurance Company.
