The Maintenance Technician/Groundskeeper, TJC West is a full-time 12 month position that reports to the Supervisor, Landscaping and Grounds.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Provide upkeep of West Campus lawn to include; mowing, edging, fertilizing, seeding, and trimming.Experience with lawn care equipment; knowledge of accepted safety practice required.Experience with small engine repair highly preferred.Assist with maintenance of campus buildings including, but not limited to, carpentry skills, utilizing power saws and tools, electrical skills and general maintenance skillsPerform various repairs and install of different types of flooring, including but not limited to, VCT, vinyl plank, ceramic tile and carpetPerform plumbing maintenance as assignedPaint various components on campus as assignedKnowledge of and ability to speak and/or understand English is very desirable.Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 60 pounds.Ability to stand, walk and/or shift and continuously perform essential job functions for an 8-hour shift with appropriate breaks.
