Engineering Management Intern

Job Description

• Collect data on throughput and / or waste reduction.
• Identify process deficiencies and develop solutions to improve those deficiencies.
• Deliver documentation offering a critical analysis and suggestions for correcting errors.
• Submit a scope of work for each project that includes budgetary numbers and the goal of each project.
• Collaborate with other Engineers and plant leadership to develop an accurate accounting of all engineering hours required for various types of internal projects.
• Understand project scope / background / objectives, use data driven approach to solve problems, and practice methodologies including Six Sigma, DMAIC, PDCA.
• Complete a report, with a presentation and recommendations to management on process throughput improvements or ideas to improve the company’s waste reduction on main production lines.
