Responsibilities & Qualifications
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the design and execution of complex aviation projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet regulatory and client expectations.
- Develop production work plans, schedules, and budgets, keeping projects on track and within scope.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, serving as a technical expert on aviation airside and/or landside design projects.
- Produce detailed engineering plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, ensuring accuracy and compliance with FAA, TSA, and other regulatory standards.
- Assist Project Managers with the development of scopes and budgets for new task orders and project amendments.
- Conduct calculations and analysis to optimize design solutions.
- Prepare technical specifications, cost estimates, and project phasing and scheduling plans.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to drive project success.
- Stay at the forefront of industry advancements and emerging technologies, contributing to TYLin’s reputation for technical excellence and innovation.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida (or ability to obtain).
- 5–10 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in aviation-related projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of FAA and TSA regulations, as well as AIP funding requirements.
- Experience in cost estimating, project phasing, and scheduling.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and client-focused mindset.
