Responsibilities & Qualifications
What You'll Do:
- Serve as an Engineer in Training (EIT) for transportation-related projects, ensuring successful completion of assigned tasks.
- Contribute to project teams by performing analysis and developing engineering design solutions under managerial guidance.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to execute production work plans.
- Assist project managers and transportation leadership in developing contract budgets and scopes of work.
- Support project teams in the analysis, design, and production of plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards.
- Conduct field assignments to assess existing features and conditions as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT).
- 2-4 years of transportation design experience.
- Proficiency in design and analysis software such as MicroStation InRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience in project delivery with line-item bid.
- Ability to assist in preparing comprehensive engineering reports.
- Proven success in delivering transportation design tasks.
- Experience working with transit agencies, local agencies, and municipalities preferred.
- Strong client focus, committed to providing innovative and effective solutions.
- High integrity, demonstrating ethical and sustainable engineering practices.
- Ability to collaborate in a diverse and inclusive team to achieve technical excellence.
