This individual will be responsible for managing all electrical, communications, and fire alarm design projects within the Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing/Instrumentation & Control Group. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing electrical infrastructure in industrial environments.

Our TYLin Water Sector is seeking an Electrical Engineering Designer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing all electrical, communications, and fire alarm design projects within the Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing/Instrumentation & Control Group. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing electrical infrastructure in industrial environments.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Electrical contract drawing and specification production for a wide range of project types, including water and wastewater treatment plants, odor control systems, administration and laboratory facilities, vehicle maintenance buildings, central heating plants, and others.
- Conceptual design development, electrical field troubleshooting, and electrical systems cost estimating.
- Internal and external client management; electrical coordination with other disciplines; electrical design cost estimating.
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- 2-5 years’ experience in electrical design, related energy design, and electrical project management.
- Experience in wastewater and water treatment and conveyance facilities highly preferred.
- Experience in commercial or industrial and low voltage power distribution design required.
- Good working knowledge of low voltage electrical distribution, medium voltage electrical distribution, motor control, variable speed drives, control schematics, lighting design, fire alarm, and access control, electrical codes, and standards.
