Responsibilities & Qualifications
What You’ll Do:
As a Wastewater Project Manager, you will:
- Manage sewer engineering design and consulting teams on complex projects, including hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, utility plans, technical specifications, preliminary and final designs, bid assistance, design services during construction (DSDC), infrastructure condition assessment, rehabilitation, and cost estimating for pump stations, pipelines, treatment plants, and stormwater systems.
- Simultaneously manage multiple technical assignments, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements.
- Assist in providing Program Management Services, including CIP planning, budgeting, scheduling, project bundling and prioritization, managing project delivery, overseeing multiple consultants and contractors, overseeing data management, and providing technical advisory services and staff augmentation for large water and wastewater programs.
- Mentor and assist Design Lead in guiding TYLin staff, fostering their professional growth while upholding company core values.
Who You Are:
- A licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with the ability to reciprocate licenses in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
- A civil engineering professional with a B.S. degree (M.S. preferred) and 8 years of experience managing water and wastewater engineering design projects.
- Experienced in overseeing the development and implementation of design and construction contract documents for complex infrastructure projects.
- Skilled in program management, including CIP planning, budgeting, scheduling, project delivery, consultant and contractor management, technical advisory services, and staff augmentation for large water and wastewater programs.
