What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wash Bay and Reconditioning Associate position at TYM?
Position Summary: The Wash Bay & Reconditioning Associate is responsible for ensuring that the product meets or exceeds the specifications of operation and appearance set forth by the organization and customer(s). The team member in this position will sand, paint, and wash equipment/parts while maintaining high quality workmanship minimizing loss.
Job Functions:
Maintain a safe and efficient work environment and area.
Perform checks and record per SOP’s.
Evaluate each piece of equipment for cleanliness
Wash equipment until clean both underside and outside
Sand and/or touch up paint as needed
Perform rework as needed
Repair defective or damaged materials
Operate lift trucks and tractors
Accurately document inspection results with any countermeasures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Ability to prioritize and follow directions.
Ability to work 8+ hours per day and weekends as needed in a factory setting.
Must be able to navigate all areas of the building and facility as needed.
Required to sit, stand, walk, squat, and reach.
Basic knowledge of paint and appearance.
May occasionally lift and move up to 20 to 50 pounds in a factory or outside setting.
Ability to work in an outdoor environment as needed.
The ability to operate a tractor is a plus.
At least 3 years of professional experience with power tools preferred.
Regular and timely attendance required.
