What You’ll Do:
- Conduct site inspections and structural evaluations for residential and commercial buildings.
- Use AutoCAD and other design software to create, modify, and finalize project drawings.
- Perform structural calculations to analyze and design repairs for various materials, including steel, concrete, and wood/timber.
- Prepare professional technical reports outlining observations, analysis, and recommendations.
- Interface with clients, contractors, and design professionals to develop practical, efficient solutions.
- Assist in marketing engineering services and identifying new project opportunities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in structural engineering, with a focus on wood framing or residential construction.
- Education: Certificate or associate degree in drafting/engineering technology, Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Beam software, and Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze data, perform calculations, and develop innovative solutions.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for professional client interaction.
- Independence: Self-motivated with the ability to schedule site inspections and complete projects efficiently.
- Requirements: Valid NC driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
