Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Supervise and coordinate all aspects of landscape construction projects, including hardscaping, planting, grading, and drainage.
- Crew Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate a team of skilled crew members to ensure high-quality and efficient work.
- Site Oversight: Manage daily site operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and safety compliance.
- Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to provide updates and ensure satisfaction with the work.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections to confirm work meets company standards, project specifications, and local regulations.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot on-site challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Equipment Management: Operate and maintain construction equipment and tools, ensuring proper usage and upkeep.
- Reporting: Document progress, track expenses, and provide updates to the management team.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3–5 years of landscape construction experience, including supervisory or leadership roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in hardscape installation (pavers, retaining walls, patios, walkways), grading, drainage, planting and other landscape construction methods.
- Equipment Proficiency: Experience operating heavy machinery, including skid steers, excavators, and other landscape equipment.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, project layouts, and site plans.
- Certification: OSHA 10/30 certification, MA Hoisting License, or other relevant credentials.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Leadership Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team.
- Driver’s License: Valid Massachusetts driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred).
