GENERAL DESCRIPTION
- The CH-47 Aircraft Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting aircraft, component, and shop inspections to ensure compliance with technical directives, maintenance standards, and safety regulations. This role supports MRO operations by performing detailed evaluations of preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections on CH-47 aircraft and components.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive rotary-wing inspection experience, knowledge of TAMMS, and a strong understanding of Army aviation maintenance procedures.
DUTIES
- Conduct preliminary, in-process, and final inspections of CH-47 aircraft and components.
- Evaluate aircraft maintenance actions to ensure compliance with technical data, safety standards, and contract requirements.
- Interpret and apply Army aviation maintenance regulations (TAMMS) and technical publications.
- Maintain accurate technical publications, maintenance records, inspection documentation, and aircraft historical records.
- Administer and monitor aircraft weight and balance programs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, customer, and contractual requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel regarding aircraft repairs, modifications, and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain quality control tracking systems for inspection processes and defect reporting.
- Perform aircraft release and acceptance inspections as required.
- May require up to 25% travel to include CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an Army aircraft maintenance course.
- Minimum six (6) years of verifiable experience in aircraft maintenance, with at least two (2) years in a CH-47 inspector role utilizing TAMMS.
- Preferred: Graduate of the Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course (BNCOC) or Advanced Leaders Course (ALC).
- Preferred: FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Must pass a background check (including criminal history and credit check) for government facility access.

- May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, APU, etc.
