What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Clerk I position at Tyonek Native Corporation?
General Description
Records and maintains control of all inventory items purchased and produced.
Duties
- Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.
- Check for damages, unpack and perform quality and quantity checks on manufacturer shipment.
- Receive and enter verification data for inventory in DELTEK- CostPoint.
- Prepare, verify and organize material receipt documentation for Quality Assurance inspection.
- Perform cycle counts of product inventory annually.
- Properly label product locations.
- Assemble and prepare production kits utilizing pick list and scanners as directed.
- Make adjustments to inventory in database, if applicable, as requested.
- Responsible for Controlling Customer and Government Property
- Check Shipping Request Daily
- Package and prepare materials for shipment and prepare appropriate shipping documentation.
- Handle all aspects of shipping. Schedule freight shipments for pickup utilizing appropriate shipping company computer interface.
- Must be flexible to accept work assignments in different areas as needed and required.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Primary functions do not require exercising independent judgment.

Education/Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years' warehouse experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to leverage available resources to accomplish objectives.

- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands, working at heights with fall protection devices.
- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders
- May be required to lift up to 25 pounds and carry for short distances.
- Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
