General Description

Tyonek Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Program Manager to support General Aviation (Part 145 Repair Station - Fixed and Rotary Wing aircraft) customer requirements. This individual will supervise and lead a maintenance team to repair, modify, or maintain aircraft in accordance with the Part 145 Repair Station, FAA, and manufacturers maintenance standards. This individual will be responsible for the technical leadership to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations including cost, quality, and schedule while maintaining company objectives. The Program Manager ensures that the project and task orders produce the required deliverables within the specified constraints of time and cost. Contributes to corporate and program process improvement initiatives as it relates to improvement of the Quality Management System and adheres to quality and production control guidelines throughout the life cycle of the program. This includes management of issues, risk, and change requests to ensure successful and on-time CDRL and product delivery.

Duties

  • Responsible for technical oversight of projects and task orders within quality, and schedule constraints
  • Coordinates the efforts of the functional departments, as required, to ensure that projects are conducted in accordance with the requirements of the contract and statement of work
  • Acts as primary contact for assigned integration activities, leading technical performance
  • Familiar with a variety of General Aviation platforms, systems, related concepts, and practices and procedures
  • Manage day to day maintenance operations within the Repair Station
  • Ensure workmanship meets or exceeds the quality standards required by the Repair Station
  • Develops and controls budgets, resources, and deadlines
  • Develops, reviews, approves project schedules and project deliverables
  • Communicates goals, scope, technical approach, and schedule requirements to assigned personnel
  • Constantly assesses project performance and formulates, organizes, and monitors progress reports
  • Must possess superior communication skills with experience in interfacing directly with the General Aviation customers.
  • Innovation, flexibility, and initiative are important attributes, as well as the ability to work under unusual or extreme pressures
  • Must have excellent risk, change, and resource management skills
  • Demonstrates a solutions-focused approach to problem solving while identifying and resolving customer issues
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as deemed necessary
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation or business preferred
  • Must have a minimum of ten (10) years' experience in aircraft maintenance management
  • Possess an FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License with Inspection Authorization (IA)
  • Experience with Law Enforcement modifications desired
  • Knowledgeable with various aircraft types (Airbus, Bell/Textron, MDHI, Sikorsky, etc.)
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

  • Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for up to twelve (12) hours per day and sit for up to eight (8) hours per day.
  • May be required to lift fifty (50) pounds to a height of four (4) feet and be required to lift twenty (20) pounds to a height of seven (7) feet.
  • May be exposed to certain obstructions on the surface as well as ladders, stairs, etc.
  • May be exposed to rapid or extreme temperature changes.
