Salary: $240,000 to $250,000

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructures, including performing moderately complex network upgrades and routine network operations and maintenance (O&M). The role requires you to:

• Perform moderately complex network designs, focusing on limited segments of the network.
• Carry out upgrades to network systems, ensuring all changes are aligned with network performance specifications.
• Review user requests for upgrades or additions to the network, evaluating the potential impact on overall network performance.
• Provide advice and guidance on the most practical technical approach to meeting user requirements.
• Plan and implement upgrades to existing network configurations, ensuring integration and optimal network performance based on system characteristics and interface specifications.
• Utilize network analysis tools to identify and address performance issues within the network.

You will work with several technologies and provide support for the network infrastructure across distributed locations.

Experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Ethernet and IP LAN design, configuration, and maintenance.
• SONET-Based WAN design, configuration, and maintenance.
• Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) design, configuration, and maintenance.
• Microsoft Windows desktop and server design, configuration, and maintenance in a secure IT environment, including Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016.
• Designing and operating Microsoft Active Directory in a secure and distributed IT environment supporting clients and servers such as Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016.
• Macintosh devices design, configuration, and maintenance in a secure IT environment.
• Linux desktops, servers, and other devices design, configuration, and maintenance in a secure IT environment.
• Configuration and operation of Enterprise storage across network (SAN) solutions (e.g., HPE 3PAR, NetApp, EMC).
• Server virtualization solution design, configuration, and maintenance using software such as VMware vSphere, Windows Hyper-V, or equivalent.
• VOIP solution design, configuration, and maintenance with Cisco, Polycom, or equivalent solutions.
• VTC solution design, configuration, and maintenance with Cisco, Polycom, or equivalent solutions.
• Configuration and maintenance of COMSEC (NSA GOTS/Type-1) systems.
• Installation and maintenance of the preceding technologies at multiple distributed locations.
• Enterprise-level Cisco network device experience.
• Enterprise-level Cisco VOIP device experience.
• Enterprise-level Cisco VTC device experience.
• VMware vSphere, vCenter, and other enterprise-class VMware solutions.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience providing support in the respective disciplines.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Allowable Substitution: A Master's degree in a relevant field may substitute for a Bachelor's degree if the Bachelor's degree is not in a relevant field. Additionally, 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree will meet the educational requirements.

• Experience with advanced network troubleshooting and performance tuning in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with security standards and best practices for securing network infrastructures.
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking and hybrid cloud integration.

This position requires a combination of deep technical expertise, hands-on experience, and the ability to evaluate complex network requirements, while ensuring seamless integration and high-level performance for enterprise-level network infrastructure.
