Position Summary: As a Staff Accountant, you will have a wide range of responsibilities exercising discretion and independent judgement in matters of significance including but not limited to: performing month end close, reconciliation of accounts, preparing financial statements and other duties as needed to support the Finance and Accounting Department. This role is within the Finance and Accounting Team in our Corporate Headquarters location in Eugene, Oregon.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete a wide range of month-end close related responsibilities
- Support the monthly close process by preparing assigned entries, reconciling assigned accounts and preparing support schedules and analysis
- Regularly maintain detailed reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare documentation for annual audit performed by external accounting firm
- Assist with fixed asset processing and reporting
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
- Support implementation of best practices and improve department documentation
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and company procedures
- Partner with other departments to ensure all transactions are getting to the ledger timely and accurately
- Perform ad-hoc research and projects as needed
- Perform other duties as required to support the Accounting Department
Required Education and Experience:
Minimum Experience: 2 years previous Accounting or Finance preferred.
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
Minimum Qualifications and CORE Competencies:
- Demonstrated ERP system competency.
- Intermediate Excel spreadsheet skills.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP a plus.
- Must have strong communication skills and be highly deadline and detail oriented.
- Adept at handling multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for innovation, continuous improvement and evolution.

Work Schedule and Travel:
- The normal workweek for a full-time exempt employee is considered to be 40 hours.
- Shift: Day shift.
- Exempt employees do not receive overtime compensation or compensatory time off or additional compensation beyond the established salary for the position.
- Weekends/Evenings: Weekends/Evenings may be required.
- May be required to travel to/from Tyree Oil locations; Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience: 2 years previous Accounting or Finance preferred.
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
Salary : $67,000 - $89,000
