Tyson Eye has been providing exceptional service in SWFL for over 35 years. We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (PRN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to assist in our Accredited Surgery Center in Cape Coral. He/she is the patient advocate and assures that quality care is administered. This position will report to the ASC Manager. Education and Job Experience:
Education and Job Experience:
- Registered and must have their license to practice in the state of Florida.
- Maintain re-licensure requirements.
- One-year experience in a surgical specialty, ICU or related field preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certified.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Plans for patient care. Oversees the Patient Care Technician.
- Assists in the proper preparation of supplies, equipment and medication involved in patient care.
- Administers medication as ordered and according to facility and DEA policy and procedures.
- Makes post-operative telephone calls.
- Starts and discontinues intravenous lines and documents appropriately. Regulates and documents infusion.
- Performs treatments and/or procedures as instructed.
- Establish nursing goals based on nursing diagnosis and evaluate outcome.
- Assists in organizing and developing policies and procedures and plans for improvement.
