Job Description:
This position is responsible for overseeing the production process on the Madison Ham Plant to maximize long-term and short-term profitability. Key responsibilities include developing strong working relationships with team members, performing administrative duties, and ensuring compliance with quality and food safety regulations.
Additional duties include training team members, holding regular safety meetings, and troubleshooting production issues. The selected candidate will be responsible for the entire plant operation, requiring a deep understanding of production processes, safety protocols, and other essential functions. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are also required.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a food manufacturing plant is preferred. SAP knowledge and standard computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs, are also necessary. This role reports to the plant manager and involves minimal travel (0-5 trips per year).
