This full-time, paid internship, based in Northwest Arkansas offers a unique opportunity to explore the daily operation of a FAR part 91 flight department. The intern will report directly to the Assistant Chief Pilot and will engage in various projects, daily responsibilities, and professional development courses throughout the summer. Flight activities include observation opportunities on domestic and international flights, providing valuable insight into the life of a corporate pilot.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES :
- A research development project that will be presented within the aviation department
- The intern will be a flight crew member with the ability to crew multiple flights a week.
- Work alongside our maintenance team and ground handling
- Assist with dispatcher and scheduling duties
- Assist safety and security officers on projects
- Assist training officer
- Attend company orientation at Tyson World HQ
- Tyson Foods plant visit and tour
- Flight Safety International flight simulation training
- Potential for an altitude chamber training course located in OKC
- Aircraft systems and integration in a Falcon 2000, Gulfstream G500 / 700 or Global 7500
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS :

WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Participate in scheduled domestic and international flights.
Daily dress code will be business casual. On flight duty, black pants with a uniform polo will be provided.
LOCATION : Northwest Arkansas National Airport (KXNA)
COMPENSATION : Hourly rate depending on year in school
REPORTS TO : Assistant Chief Pilot
AVIATION INTERN : Temporary employee (8 weeks set between June and August)
HOUSING PROVIDED : Yes, a furnished apartment will be provided.
RELOCATION : For those candidates who choose to travel using their own personal vehicles, Tyson Foods will reimburse up to maximum of 400 miles round trip using the published IRS standard mileage rate.
