Summary
The Senior Data Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining state-of-the-art data systems and platforms for real-time data streaming and analytics. This position requires deep expertise in building scalable data architectures, implementing complex ETL pipelines, and optimizing cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in big data technologies, data security, and data visualization, driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to best practices in data privacy, security, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Conduct end-to-end analyses, from data acquisition and processing to the delivery of insights via dashboards and reports.
- Resolve complex data pipeline issues and drive continuous improvements in data architecture.
- Maintain and improve underlying data systems, working with stakeholders to meet evolving business needs.
- Lead and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on best practices in data engineering and data architecture.
- Lead the design, orchestration, and optimization of complex data pipelines, focusing on real-time data processing and cost-effective cloud resource management.
- Architect scalable data solutions using big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Implement advanced data governance frameworks, ensuring robust security measures such as row-level and column-level security for sensitive data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and build internal tools and applications that support business intelligence and operational analysis.
- Drive the development of data visualization strategies and enterprise-scale dashboards to enable data-driven decision-making at a strategic level.
- Optimize the performance and cost-efficiency of cloud-based data storage and processing systems.
- Oversee the integration of data systems with third-party vendors and evaluate new tools to enhance data capabilities.
