Management Level :
The Senior UX Designer is a proficient-level position for experienced UX designers ready to take on leadership roles within the design team. You'll play a key role in designing intuitive and visually appealing user experiences for our digital products. Building upon your foundational knowledge of user-centered design principles and proficiency in design tools, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging interfaces that meet user needs and business goals. You'll contribute to all stages of the design process, from concept development and wireframing to prototyping and user testing, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable user experience. With guidance from senior team members, you'll have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills while making meaningful contributions to our product design efforts. Your creativity, attention to detail, and passion for user-centric design will help us deliver exceptional digital experiences to our customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Workshops : Assist in the planning and facilitating of workshops to gather user requirements and generate design ideas.
- Product Research : Conduct market research and competitive analysis to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings.
- Requirements Gathering : Work closely with stakeholders, including customers, sales, marketing, and engineering teams, to gather and prioritize product requirements. All requirements must include a current and future state process map to be shared and signed off with your sponsor.
- Mapping : Create detailed personas, archetypes, journey maps, and blueprints to represent user needs and behaviors.
- Design : Develop sitemaps and execute the ORCA process to organize and structure content. Design wireframes and high-fidelity (HiFi) mockups to visually represent the user interface. Create interactive prototypes to demonstrate design functionality.
- Design System : Fully utilize and contribute to the design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency in designs
- User Testing : Lead usability testing sessions, create usability testing scripts, and gather feedback on design prototypes.
- Product Planning : Assist in creating and maintaining the product roadmap, defining features, and release timelines based on business objectives and user needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and execution of product initiatives.
- Feature Prioritization : Help prioritize features and enhancements based on their impact on user experience, business value, and technical feasibility.
- Project Coordination : Coordinate project activities, tasks, and timelines, ensuring that milestones are met and deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
- Documentation : Create and maintain product documentation, including user stories, feature specifications, and release notes, to communicate requirements and updates to stakeholders.
- Testing and Validation : Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation of product features to ensure they meet quality standards and user expectations.
- Performance Monitoring : Assist in defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product performance and success.
- Continuous Improvement : Continuously seek opportunities for improvement, gathering feedback from users and stakeholders to iterate on product features and enhance the overall user experience.
- Learning and Development : Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in product management, seeking out learning opportunities to grow and develop in the role.
- Customer Support : Provide support to customer-facing teams, including responding to customer inquiries, addressing product-related issues, and assisting with customer training and onboarding.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Present design concepts and findings to the product, stakeholders, and UX teams. Communicate effectively with developers, product team members, stakeholders, and UX team members to ensure alignment and clarity.
- Strong Communication Skills : Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas, influence diverse audiences, and drive stakeholder alignment.
- Leadership and Mentorship : Experience mentoring and guiding junior team members, contributing to their professional growth and the overall success of the product team.
- Industry Knowledge : Understanding of the industry in which the company operates, including trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory considerations.
- Scope : Work on tasks and projects at the product and project level, contributing to the overall design process.
- Perform other assigned job-related duties that align with our organization's vision, mission, and values and fall within your scope of practice
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience.
Experience : 3 years of relevant or practical experience. Proficient-level experience in UX design, with a proven track record of successful projects.
