Management Level : SUMMARY :
This position will provide exposure to design, implementation, and troubleshooting of public cloud-based resources while adhering to Tyson standards and policies. The candidate will interact with internal business and technical teams to outline and execute on requirements delivering secure, functional and scalable cloud solutions using CICD technologies like Gitlab, Docker, and Kubernetes. This role includes providing advisement and troubleshooting services for other teams in support of their cloud resource deployments. CI / CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code will be maintained and supported using Python, Groovy, and Terraform. Also, Cloud Disaster Recovery and high availability technologies and strategies. Other duties would include governance of cloud custodian polices, cloud prisma policies, cloud security and compliance, API development, AWS quicksight knowledge, Hashicorp vault, shell scripting, documentation of activities via the support center call-tracking tool, revision of specific documentation, knowledge repositories, and correspondences. Analyze and resolve errors in a timely and accurate fashion. Provide status reports where required. Provide on-call support and problem resolution for public cloud services. Project management skills.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education : Minimum bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other technical area. Related experience may be acceptable.
Experience : 7 years minimum IT experience is preferred and proven Cloud technologies and CICD experience.
Travel : Some travel may be required. Amount of travel will be determined by individual project requirements.
Core Responsibilities : Work with internal stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements. Support Tyson DevSecOps teams by providing guidance and patterns for CICD tools, pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and cloud service architecture. Develop and support policies, procedures, and guidelines to continually improve efficiency of cloud native application deployments and infrastructure deployments Always looking to improve on resource optimization and cost optimization as it relates to public cloud resources or automation.
Role Specific Skills : Ability to resolve complex issues quickly using solid analytical skills. A desire to solve problems with an engineering mindset that seeks to increase efficiency through automation. Ability to produce clear, business-friendly documentation of ideas, requirements, architecture, and problems. Experience automating operational tasks with CICD pipelines, and infrastructure immutability through Infrastructure-as-Code. Ability to lead cross functional teams and projects, enterprise level design and solutions.
Preferred Skills : Experience with the following or equivalents : Google Cloud Platform(GCP), Amazon Web Services(AWS), Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, GKE, EKS, Docker, Gitlab, Containers, CICD pipelines, Terraform, Python, YAML,Cloud formation, Java Script, API development, Quicksight, Cloud security and compliance, Hashicorp Vault, Cloud finops, AWS VMC, load balancers, Prisma Cloud, Windows, Linux, shell scripting, Java. GCP or AWS certification is a plus.
