Summary:
Our Associate Accountant is responsible for the accurate preparation and reporting of all cost and other financial information in the plant, including product costings. This includes gathering and processing information to generate daily and weekly production cost reports, preparing weekly and monthly costs and monthly reconciliation of cost changes. Will also assist in the preparation of the annual operations budget and is responsible for ensuring adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Tyson s accounting policies. Other duties as assigned.
Our Associate Accountant would be working 1st Shift Onsite at our 54th St Enid Plant in Enid, OK - Monday-Friday 8:00AM- 5:00PM. Although the Salary Rate for this role is based on experience, this role does offer a 5% Annual Incentive Plan, a 3.50% Annual Salary Review, 2 weeks Vacation with Medical/Vision/Dental and an overall opportunity to start/continue your growth with Tyson!
Responsibilities:
- Create cost sheets from supplied CRFs. Obtain production details from Plant Management.
- After approvals received from SC Finance, build BOM in BOM Portal & publish to SAP.
- Review GSM spec changes in BOM Portal. Approve and publish to SAP.
- Update Spec Change log for use in Period Cost Comparison file.
- Assist Plant Controller with the weekly Plant Score Card reporting and month end close process.
- Update and distribute production reports daily.
- Strong ability to be accurate as information is reported out by management; Need the ability to meet deadlines without monitoring.
- Processing of Purchase to Pay P2P transactions and or payment processing.
- Assist in the research and resolution of the questions and issues that can arise in the P2P process and other duties as needed.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Assist with Ad hoc management reports projects as they arise.
- The position will have the potential to interact with Tyson Team Members across the organization and with various members of a Tyson vendor s and customers.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance or experience commensurate with knowledge typically acquired through a 4-year degree is required.
- Experience: 6 months work experience preferred but not required.
- Computer Skills: Requires standard computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office applications. Excel Word PowerPoint . SAP experience will be a plus!
- Communication Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal skills.
- Special Skills: Self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment; highly organized and detail oriented; ability to set priorities and coordinate with others.

- Travel: 1 plus trips per year.
