Job Details:
SUMMARY:
The position will serve as a facility manager at closed facilities. The role will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the building and infrastructure services such as water, heating/cooling, lighting, fire protection, and camera/alarm systems ensuring they are kept in good working condition. The facility manager is expected to maintain these systems and services in accordance with government regulations, health and security standards, and energy efficiency requirements.
In addition to the building and infrastructure service requirements listed above, the facility manager will be expected to maintain the grounds and security fence to a set standard remediating and deficiencies as needed within operating budget and guidelines set. Conduct regular rounds on the site areas of risk and concern and coordinating activities to resolve and remediate including site appearance.
The facility manager will serve as the primary responsible party to
- Coordinate at will functions including but not limited to helping business partners relocate usable property sourcing, booking and supervising contractors for repairs
- keep buildings safe and secure to reduce the costs associated with theft, vandalism
- facilitate onsite support for liquidation and auction activities as needed
- serve as point of contact and safety oversight for visiting teams in consideration of sale or re-purpose.
Qualifications:
- Education/Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in facility management or maintenance.
- Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in ERP systems and SAP
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Special Skills:
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work in various weather conditions.
Work Environment:
- Limited occupancy facility with regular contractor and stakeholder interaction.
Travel:
- As required to support both the primary processing facility and ancillary sites such as hatcheries, feed mills, etc.
