If you are looking to make an impact in a meaningful way, join us at Tyson Foods where we are raising the world’s expectations for how much good food can do! We are currently hiring for Case stacker at our facility in Rome, GA that exclusively produces Granola and Cereal Products.

Position Summary

Our Case stacker positions are responsible for a variety of tasks that involve the packing and packaging of our products. This work is standard, repetitive food production labor. As products are produced, Case stackers work with the product to be wrapped and packaged. This position has a start rate $22.88.

Shifts are:

1st: 6am-2pm

2nd: 2pm-10pm

3rd: 10pm-6am

• Team members are expected to work over or come in before there assigned shifts in the case of call-outs, etc.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed
• Notifying supervisors if machines require maintenance
• Unjamming machines safely and using proper LOTO procedures
• Filling out various log sheets
• Packing of products into boxes; transportation of boxes across short distances
• Preparing or assembling boxes or cartons
• Scanning product and bar codes into the system as needed
• Moving materials and product
• Inspecting quality of product
• Loading packaged product into boxes or other containers
• Labeling packages or containers
• Packaging the product in the form in which it will be transported.
• Stacking boxes or other containers, or wrapping protective material around each item
• Offloading products from boxes or other containers
• Weighing pre-packaged or packaged products
• Loading boxes or other containers into pallets
• Lifting trays and boxes of products to be packaged up to 10lbs
• General cleaning of workspaces; sweeping, dusting and use of compressed air
• Other duties as needed
  
  

Requirements

• 6 months of continuous work history in the last 12 months with the same employer.
• Must be willing and able to work at a fast work pace consisting mainly of repetitive physical motion.
• Must be willing to work 8-12-hour shifts and up to six days a week, standing at all times: mostly in the same position / place.
• Must be able to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level up to 10 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to reach high and low levels, frequently.
• Must be willing to withstand working in warm environments (sometimes exceeding 90 degrees)
• Must be willing to work in close parameters to other employees (standing next to each other).
