Job Details:
Hours: 4th Shift; 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. (Sat/Sun/Mon; overtime as required)
Pay Range: $21.20 - $30.30 (BOE) $2 attendance bonus $2.00 Shift Differential
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing as part of a team that maintains and repairs machines in a production setting, including preventive maintenance and identifying solutions to better meet performance goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:
- Set up equipment or machines
- Adjust production machines and related equipment, according to maintenance schedule, manufacturer's service manuals and production tolerances
- Inspect machines and troubleshoot to detect potential malfunctions
- Replace repaired parts or install new parts to restore machine to operating condition
- Lubricate grease fittings and moving parts of machine and other preventive maintenance requirements as directed by supervisors
- Complete Preventive Maintenance and work orders in a timely manner
- Work within safety guidelines at all times
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Physical Requirements / Environment:
- Stand/Walk: Continuously throughout shift
- Lift/Carry: Frequently (1-10 lbs), Occasionally as required with assistance (up to 35-50 lbs.)
- Other Physical Requirements:
o Frequently; bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb, reach above shoulder (2-3 ft.), crouch, kneel, push/pull, grasp
- Physical Environment: Continuously: Working around moving machinery, working in a damp, slippery and cold environment (Below 40° F)
o working around moving machinery, in areas with marked changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to dust and fumes, occasionally working at unprotected heights, around and amongst dead birds and a strong chicken odor, some tight or confined space areas
Requirement: Must have a minimum of 1 year of facility, maintenance and/or automotive mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application of a graduate of an Industrial Maintenance training program.
Rehire Consideration:
- Max of two (2) previous Tyson Employments to be considered for hire.
- 90 days (3 months) waiting period.
