SUMMARY: The Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician position is responsible for:
- Conduct physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems, ensuring accurate documentation and calculation of results.
- Perform microbiological and chemical testing as required.
- Organize, file, and review FSQA-related documentation.
- Review FSQA electronic verification files.
- Prepare and evaluate samples, including sample cutting and AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) assessments.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work across shifts as needed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience.
- Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Special Skills: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce; good problem identification and problem solving skills; math and organizational skills; ability to read and interpret product specifications; must function well under stress; must have flexibility to work where and when needed.
- Physical Requirements: Position involves heavy lifting (70 lbs. or more).
