PAY : Piece rate / $2,100.00 average per week using ton/mile calculation.
HOURS : 12 hour shifts - 5 PM to 5 AM
DAY OF THE WEEK : Monday thru Friday. Work about half the holidays depending on production needs. Work some Saturdays dependng on production needs.
JOB DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for the operation of a commercial vehicle and hauling Poultry feed to farms in Union and surrounding counties while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The driver will pick up load at feedmill. Drive to farm and offload then return to Feedmill to get another load. Drivers ususally haul four loads per day. Applicants will be considered for the feed delivery Driver position only.
Job Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be willing to take a Urine and drug test. Applicant must be 21 years of age and have at least one year of driving experience or nine months of driving experience in the last twelve months. Applicants must have a valid Class A CDL. Applicants must pass a background check before being placed in position. Applicants must have a clear satisfactory CDL record and meet all Tyson and DOT driving specifications. Must be willing to work flexible hours when called upon in extreme cases. Must pass a DOT Drug test and physical and be subject to random testing. Must be willing to lift 40 lbs. occasionally and must be willing to work in and be exposed to outside temperatures and environment. must be willing to grasp, grip, twist, pull, bend and stop occasionally. If the applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview.
EXTRA TRAINING : driver wil be trained to operate bulk feed trailers.
TRUCKS: trucks have automatic transmissions and trailers are bulk feed.
