Job Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets at the Spadra Feed Mill while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

This position is responsible for repair or replacement of any equipment at the Facility.

Applicant will also complete work orders in an acceptable and timely fashion and will do preventative maintenance as scheduled. This position requires experience in electrical, such as wiring motors, running conduit and wiring, troubleshooting and repairing equipment and reading schematics. The primary goal of the maintenance crew is to keep the facility and the equipment operating properly and to clean up after each job. The maintenance crew must keep their shop and work neatly organized at all times and keeps their inventory stocked adequately. You will be required to walk, stand, and bend, etc. for 10 to 12 hours. This position requires work outside and inside. The work environment ranges from either hot or cold depending on the location of the work being performed and the environment will also be dusty at times. You will be working with all aspects of maintenance including but not limited to electrical, sharp objects, hand tools, welding, etc. and will be expected to abide by all safety regulations. At times you will be required to lift objects weighing 50 pounds or more. You may be assigned other duties by the supervisor or the manager.

Requirements

Must be able to work in outside temperatures ranging from cold to hot and be exposed to exterior environment occasionally which may include rain, snow, wind, etc. and can be dusty, damp, humid, wet, with a high concentration of allergens. Must be willing to work off of lifts and platforms from heights. Must have the ability to stand for 10 to 12 hours a day along with the ability to grasp, grip, twist, pull, bend and stoop occasionally. Must be able to lift in excess of 50 lbs., climb stairs and ladders able to comprehend oral and written instruction and have minimum 1 year prior maintenance experience, feed mill maintenance is preferred.

Must provide own hand tools.

Work Schedule for this position:

Wednesday-Saturday 4pm- 4am.
