We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Health Registered Nurse to promote and maintain the health and safety of employees in the workplace. Will be responsible for assessing and managing occupational health risks, providing medical care for work-related injuries and illnesses, and implementing wellness programs to enhance employee well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid and emergency care for workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Conduct health assessments, screenings, and medical surveillance programs.
- Conduct drug testing.
- Assist the case management team of work-related injuries and return-to-work programs.
- Identify and mitigate occupational health hazards.
- Collaborate with management to ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Educate employees on health promotion, disease prevention, and workplace safety.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with legal and company policies.
Days/Hours: Monday - Friday 5:00pm - 1:30am. May have some rotating on call and an occasional Saturday
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Current unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse is required.
Experience: Prefer 1 years’ experience in a nursing field or recent nursing graduates. Clinical hours can be acceptable for recent graduate nurses.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Ability to work with an electronic medical documentation system.
Other Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong problem solving and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Physical Requirements: Physical requirements include walking through the plant to ensure team member and supervisor compliance with prescribed modified restricted duty requirements. Assessing a Team Member in a swift manner and performing CPR if needed.
Travel: Occasional travel to local clinic or hospital
