Essential Functions:
- Achieve production objectives and compliance regulations.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with contract growers.
- Support genetic progress in the production pipeline.
- Develop and manage budgets.
- Develop and mentor qualified and effective team members.
- Education: A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, typically acquired through four years of college education.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of poultry management-related experience.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in standard computer applications, including Excel and other relevant software.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Must use safe lifting techniques. Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Required to follow safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment when visiting facilities.
- Biosecurity:Must adhere to biosecurity protocols, including showering before entering facilities and wearing company-provided clothing and footwear. No jewelry is allowed on jobsites except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with avian species (chickens, ducks, birds). Adherence to the Company's Animal Welfare Policy is mandatory. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise a team of eight or more salaried team members.
- Travel: Required to travel to all GP and Hatchery facilities within the specified region.
