Job Details:
Skills and Abilities:
- Forklift operator’s license
- Valid driver license.
- Basic computer skills pertaining to Windows, SAP, and other maintenance related systems.
- Good work record that includes no company issued discipline in the last 6 months.
- Demonstrated ability to verbally communicate material effectively in a training environment.
- Must currently be Tech 4 or above.
- Minimum of two years plant mechanical experience preferred,
- Qualified to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all major equipment in the posted department.
- Holds locally or nationally recognized high pressure boiler and refrigeration license.
- Has the training and ability to manipulate equipment programs and other electronic controls.
Physical Requirements:
- Corrected 20/20 vision and able to distinguish colors.
- Ability to lift or move 50 pounds.
- Free use of all four limbs or equivalent use of prosthesis.
- Ability to withstand wet; humid, cold, and hot environments.
Essential Functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- All preventive maintenance and repairs, including lubrication, adjustment, rebuilding, scheduled service, cleaning, and assisting operators in the efficient operation of plant equipment.
- Identify parts and supplies needed to complete job tasks.
- Coordinate and document the training activities of new or transferred Utilities Technicians.
- Lead equipment troubleshooting, process improvement, and new process project activities to ensure that effective solutions are reached.
- Perform equipment audits, modify PM schedules, and assist to draft equipment troubleshooting procedures in order to improve machine reliability and engineer effectiveness.
- Responsible to fill Utilities Technician vacancies within shift/area as directed by supervision.
- Observe and promote all Plant Safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) specifications.
- Maintain proper housekeeping in work area as well as keep equipment clean and orderly at all times.
- Work together in a team environment.
- Track and maintain all required records.
- Schedule and area will be flexible by needs of company.
- Any other assigned responsibilities by management.
Requirments:
- 6 months maintenance experience in any maintenance field.
- Or 3 months maintenance experience in any maintenance field with a maintenance education (I.E; Possess a technical maintenance diploma or be currently enrolled in a technical school or program).
