What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stand-up Forklift Operator position at Tyson Foods?

Job Details:
Forklift Operators are position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Tasks:
- Applicants will be considered for openings in any department that may include but are not limited to Warehouse or Shipping and Receiving.
- Must accept work in a cold and damp environment with temperatures ranging from -10 to 34 degrees. Jobs are fast paced and require repetitive motion.
- Some positions require lifting, pushing and pulling up to 40 lbs.
- Material Handling and Receiving positions require lifting 70 lbs.
- Constant standing, walking, and riding of powered material handling equipment (forklifts, stand up lifts).
- Must be able and willing to stand throughout 10–12-hour shifts.
- Specialized training for powered industrial trucks required to be qualified within Tyson Foods, Inc.
Shift Schedule:
B shift (7 pm – 5 am)
C shift (6 am - 6 pm)
D shift (6 pm – 6 am)
Requirements:
- Must have 1 year of stand-up forklift experience in the last 3 years listed in work history.
- Cold Warehouse experience preferred.
- Must be able to meet minimum productivity percentage.
- Must be able to continuously case pick up to 40 lbs.
- Must be willing to train for and pass forklift license training, as well as read and understand to operate RF equipment.
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends.
- Must be willing to accept and carry through on request and directions given.
- Must be willing to learn other duties.
