Tyto Athene is searching for a Systems Engineer to support Walter Reed Hospital in Bethesda, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates ability to independently design, configure, test, implement and maintain a networked system server environment or application along with ability to support administrators and users utilizing the environment or application.
- Demonstrates ability to independently design, configure, test, implement and maintain an enterprise level endpoint management solution with ability to support administrators and users utilizing the environment or application.
- Ability to provide high level technical and administrative direction for personnel responsible for systems, servers, and storage design, implementation, and operations tasks, including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user standards and progress in accordance with schedules.
- Assists system administrators with complex troubleshooting issues and if needed coordinates vendor engagements to assist in troubleshooting efforts.
- Ability to independently evaluate and resolve systems, servers, virtualization, storage, and processing problems.
- Ability to design, configure and implement system, servers, virtualization, and storage architecture
- Ability to evaluate performance using hardware and software diagnostic
- Lead the designing, planning and installation of new systems, servers, virtualization, storage, and
- Evaluate changes for operational
- Make recommendations for approval of systems, servers, virtualization, and storage
Required:
- Bachelors degree in a Technology Related field
- Certification to meet requirements of DOD IA Workforce Level III
- Microsoft MSCE-level certification preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Eight (8) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency with server operations to include blade architectures, virtualization technologies, Active Directory management
- Experience managing virtualization solutions such as
- Experience with deploying & hardening Windows Server 2016, Server 2019
- Experience on various IT-centric monitoring tools, such as Riverbed and ScienceLogic
- Experience in building and applying computer imaging to laptops and desktops – ensures device is configured and networked within the specifications provided by the Defense Health Agency.
- Experience in areas such as AD, SCOM, MECM, IIS, SQL, DSUW, Remedy ITSM, M3, Exchange, Linux, Unix, patch management
- Ability to support after hours downtime and issues.
- Ability to obtain and maintain access to DMHRSi program and complete bi-weekly DMHRSi workload
