Tyto Athene is searching for a reliable and organized Cable Technician with Audio-Visual Technical experience to support a law enforcement customer in the Springfield, VA area.
Responsibilities :
- Willingness to learn new skills and technologies to stay current with changing technologies
- Be able to demonstrate experience in following schematics for installation of VTC systems.
- Be able to demonstrate ability in reading and interpreting system installation drawings and design packages, and applying that knowledge to the cabling installation, and promoting a safe work environment and implementing safe work practices.
- Be proficient in the proper handling, installation, of LC, MTRJ and SC connector termination, and testing of fiber-optic and copper cabling systems
- Be proficient in the installation of various types of cable tray, PDS, and Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT) conduit up to four (4) inches.
- Be capable of leading and instructing a team of installation technicians and properly documenting any red-line changes to drawing packages.
- Possess effective communication skills for coordinating installation work with Government personnel and their customers.
- Understand and interpret installation drawings and design packages, and applying that knowledge to the cabling installation, and promoting a safe work environment and implementing safe work practices.
Required :
Clearance : Must have a fully adjudicated Top Secret with the SCI eligibility.
