PHYSICAL THERAPY AIDE:
U-District PT continually looks to hire skilled Physical Therapy Aides that embody our company's core values of Encouragement, Teamwork, and Development. We are looking for hard-working, personable, and conscientious team members that add value to our company. Physical therapy aides help create a welcoming environment for our patients and help Physical Therapists provide quality care. Physical therapy aides will be expected to perform exercise instruction/demonstration, be motivated to work as a team, go out of the way to enhance patient experience, in addition to excellent attention to detail with clinic maintenance tasks (cleaning, laundry, organizational duties).
We do prefer that our aides meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably kinesiology, exercise science, human biology)
- Aspirations of pursuing additional education for Physical Therapist Assistant or Physical Therapist in the future.

Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in the treatment of patients
- Prepare patients for physical therapy sessions, including setting up equipment and providing appropriate exercises
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, adhering to safety and infection control protocols
- Provide assistance with patient transfers and ambulation
- Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
- Monitor patient progress and report any concerns or issues to the physical therapist
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Preferred
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in physical therapy or occupational therapy
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, as well as medical terminology
- Willingness to learn and grow in the role
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience in orthopedics and geriatrics
- Familiarity with outpatient physical therapy settings
- Strong anatomy and physiology knowledge
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
