Are you ready to join a collaborative and friendly Benefits Team? We are ready for you to apply today! The U-Haul Human Resources Benefits Team is looking for an enthusiastic, career-minded, and growth-oriented individual to join our team as a Benefits Coordinator.
As a Benefits Coordinator, you will administer health benefits for the U.S. (all 50 states), expand knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, PPACA, FMLA and self-funded plans with HDHP / HSA; understanding of SPDs, and can prioritize work and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
Administering company benefits in-house to include medical, dental, disability, vision, life and voluntary benefits; wellness programs; health savings accounts and flexible spending accounts.
Write and evaluate benefit materials for efficiency and comprehension
Be a liaison with insurance carriers on behalf of team members
Assist team members with inquiries regarding leave of absence policies including federal, state and mandated Family and Medical Leave and / or military leaves.
Process monthly invoice reconciliation and audits for accuracy
Review and recommend authorization for payroll adjustments as they relate to benefits
Prepare and / or participates in government filings, plan audits, and other tax-reporting requirements as necessary
Other duties as assigned
Strong and reliable attendance
Requirements
Minimum of 2-3 years in a human resource generalist, or benefits specialist role with a strong working knowledge of various types of benefits
Deliver information along with other help in a friendly, accurate, efficient, and helpful manner. Conclude with each individual contact having delivered a positive team member experience
Ability to prioritize work and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
Must have strong communication skills (both written and oral)
Must have good working knowledge of a computerized environment on various software packages such as Word, Excel, Project, Access, etc.
Curious, interest and action taken to learn
Flexible to work varying and additional hours
Being hard-hitting, great to work with and successful in executing responsibilities
Productive and hard-worker
Comprehension and appreciation that customers are our only source of revenue, and all work is to support our customers and future successes
Presenting complex information in an efficient and practical manner
Experience in Benefits Administration a plus
Strong Professional Customer Service Skills
Bi-lingual is a plus
Workday experience is a plus
