Job Title : Oxford Claims Examiner / Processor
Job Overview : We are seeking a full-time entry-level examiner in our Claims department for our Life Insurance, Annuity, and Medicare Supplement products. The Examiner will approve or deny claim payments in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policies and procedures. Communication with other departments, management or outside vendors may be necessary to properly adjudicate the claim.
Responsibilities and Duties : This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary.
- Setting up new claims
- Maintain a 30-day follow-up for all pending claims and send follow-up requests
- Creating correspondence
- Review all received claim documentation
- Handle all inbound and outbound calls and correspondence related to claims from peers, medical providers, family members and funeral homes
- Process entry level and high-level Medicare Supplement claims
- Assist on projects
- Maintain confidentiality of all policies information and adhere to company’s privacy regulations
