About the Position : This position is for the Supervisory Program Analyst and advisor within the Program Executive Office. Responsibilities Provide analyses and evaluations that impact broad policy objectives and program goals. Apply a thorough knowledge of the substantive nature of the assigned PM programs and their associated problems. Maintain and evaluate program baselines and provide expert advice to the PEO or PM of actions required. Exercise independent judgment and discretion and is responsible for managing business planning functions as well as the current and future year budgets. Resolve problems of greatest complexity for which precedents and guidelines may be inappropriate or entirely inadequate. Manage programs that involve a wide range of in-depth systematic analysis of varied developmental and production problems, which result in the definition of major critical areas and proposed alternatives. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience : One year of specialized experience is defined as : 1) Managing a financial management program to assure resources meet established milestones for development and fielding of defense acquisition system(s); 2) Providing advice to senior leaders regarding allocation of resources for operation and administration of the Command's business / resource management programs.; and 3) Leading personnel involved in developing and managing resource management programs for the organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade / level position in the federal service (NH-03 or GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Education Additional Information Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Army Acquisition Corp (AAC) membership is required prior to appointment to a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). Selectees must sign an AAC written tenure agreement to remain in the Federal service in this position for at least three (3) years. All candidates who meet the basic qualification requirements will be considered.
