Summary About the Position : This position is located within the CHRA Soldier and DoD Human Resources Directorate, DoDEA Civilian Human Resources Service Center, and may be eligible for local commuting area remote work in the future as determined by agency policy. Responsibilities Incumbent provides expert advisory and consultative services to CHRA DoDEA Recruitment Division Chief and supervisors on complex and controversial issues that impact multiple program areas. Plan, conduct, and complete studies, training plans and projects independently. Research regulations and policies, studies issues and background, gathers and analyzes data, develops conclusions and recommendations. Perform special studies to analyze overall or program specific human resources operations, to identify problem areas, and to develop solutions for improving efficiency, accuracy and quality of services. Prepare and conduct hiring process training for staff members and customers on a regular basis. Perform quality review of recruitment actions, vacancy announcements, ratings, referrals, and selections as needed for process improvement and consistency between multiple teams. Basic Requirement for a Human Resources Specialist : Experience Required : To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled which includes : providing technical advice and assistance to a Human Resources servicing team and customers in areas of staffing and recruitment, data integrity, and / or other Human Resources program areas; performing quality control checks to identify and correct Human Resources deficiencies; recommending ideas for more efficient work processes; researching and resolving complex Human Resources inquiries; preparing and presenting training on various staffing and recruitment topics. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade / level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
