About the Position : As a Data Scientist within CECOM G8's Command Financial Analysis Office (CFAO), responsible for performing financial analysis functions spanning the PPBE process to promote financial operations visibility and improve resource management performance. Responsibilities Serve as a Data Scientist in the HQ, Communications Electronics Command (CECOM), Deputy Chief of Staff for Resource Management, G8 at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Responsible for planning, conducting, and presenting complex financial systems analyses utilizing knowledge and application of computer science, mathematics, statistical analysis, modeling / simulation, and / or other scientific principles. Develops and applies methods to identify, collect, clean, process, and analyze large volumes of data to build and enhance products, processes, and systems. Drive innovation and deliver expert business intelligence with respect to data governance, data visualization, data analysis and management capabilities, organizational capacity, and analytics infrastructure. Compiles and analyzes data to identify potential problems, trends, and benefits; and makes recommendations to improve program operations. Prepares papers, reports, and dashboards to provide managers or leadership with objectively based information derived from the use of advanced business models, mathematical, and statistical principles and theories.
