About the Position : Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist for the Army Contracting Command-Redstone Arsenal (ACC-RSA). ACC-RSA is the largest contacting center in the U.S. Army with more than 900 contracting and acquisition professionals responsible for awarding over 15K contract actions with a value in excess of $25B annually. Responsibilities Develop policies / plans to ensure the most efficient and economical use of logistical resources. Serve as the Accountable Property Book Officer / Property Administrator responsible for executing effective supply and property management for the US Army Contracting Command-Redstone (ACC-RSA). Serve as the Equipment Manager in all matters pertaining to maintenance, supply, and property management. Conduct periodic visits throughout the Command to render staff assistance in the resolution of logistical problems. Utilize automated systems such as the General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS) to release strategy, order approvals, purchase order processing, purchase requisition approvals and internal audit / control. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade / level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Education cannot be substituted for experience. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas : Maintenance Planning and Management Oral Communication Planning and Evaluating Supply Support Time in Grade Requirement : Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
