Applicant must have one year of directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by implementing strategic guidance to assist with planning and coordinating multiple Information Technology (IT) programs; providing decision making input and guidance to leadership on IT integration and portfolio management; and assisting with the development and implementation of IT plans for consistency with directives and policies.

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited college or university that is directly related to the work of the position. Additional information
- Plans, justifies, and manages, to include planning, tasking, requirements, operations, and training, multiple concurrent programs.
- Performs as a program/change manager for high visibility, high dollar value initiatives across the Army enterprise Pacific theater.
- Executes the military decision-making process for the organization by designing, developing, and ensuring governance, to include planning, tasking, requirements, operations, and training.
- Provides advice and guidance for leadership concerning the IT Programs, enterprise integration, and theater portfolio management.
- Provides direction and guidance related to IT governance to assure consistency with the overall directives, policies, and plans.
Conditions of Employment
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must obtain and maintain Secret clearance.
- Must obtain and maintain the appropriate Information Assurance certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M within 6 months of entry onto duty.
