Summary About the Position : This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. Serves as a Readiness Specialist within the U.S. Army Cyber Protection Brigade (USACPB) S3 Training, Readiness, and Exercises (TREX) section located at Fort Eisenhower, GA . Responsibilities Assists in the coordination, collection, compilation, analytical evaluation, reporting, and maintenance of the readiness reporting programs and associated readiness data. Performs monthly in-depth analysis process of Army’s Commander’s Unit Status Report (CUSR) for subordinate units and coordinates with technical specialists to verify accuracy and resolve specific problems and recommend solutions. Provides guidance to subordinate units on readiness program operation and reporting requirements and readiness tracking and reporting processes. Develops, coordinates, provides input for briefs / pre-briefs, prepares briefing papers and oral presentations, and presents monthly readiness updates regarding critical training and readiness aspects of the organization. Provides advice on topics such as training requirements, limitations, and challenges / issues to leadership, principal staff officers and directors, and program directors. Conducts readiness assessments and inspections such as Organization Inspection Program / Staff Assisted Visits (OIP / SAVs). Assists in the development of Task Orders (TASKORDs), Operations Orders (OPORDs) and any required Fragmentary Orders (FRAGOs) for review and submits for publication upon approval from the Readiness OIC as required. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by assisting with data collection, compilation and / or analysis of data; assisting with maintenance of reporting programs such as the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS); and providing input for briefs or monthly reports. OR Education : Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as : Business Administration, Data Analytics, Operations Research, etc. OR Combination of Education and Experience : A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
