Summary About the Position : This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 704 TH Military Intelligence Brigade, Brigade IO Staff, Fort George G, Meade, MD. Responsibilities Performs as an Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO) and serves as the backup Information Assurance Manager (IAM). Plans, develops, implements, and maintains programs, policies, and procedures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems, networks, and data. Provides system security management to ensure systems / networks are operated and maintained IAW regulatory guidelines and in-house implemented policies and procedures. Provides network, systems, and security administration for local area networks. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized experience is defined as experience in Information Technology and / or Information Security to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data. In addition to the specialized experience listed above, your resume must show you have Information Technology-related experience. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT and should include information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and / or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined : 1.
