Clarification from the agency
U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Duties- Incumbent is under the direct supervision and training of the Golf Course Superintendent in the maintenance, repair and improvement of the condition of the entire playing area of the golf course.
- This includes, but is not limited to, direction and supervision of subordinate employees in all phases of course maintenance.
- This Includes mowing, watering, fertilizing and maintaining tees, fairways, greens and roughs and all peripheral areas.
- Additionally, performs administrative duties related to the maintenance of the golf course and equipment used on the course.
- This includes ordering and receiving parts, equipment and materials for the course and equipment maintenance section.
Conditions of Employment- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination.
- Must be able to work outdoors.
- This position requires a pre-employment physical. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:- Incumbent must have extensive work experience that demonstrated the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform work in all phases of golf course maintenance to include one-year experience equivalent to the next lower level.
- Incumbent also must have experience in irrigation system repair, modification and usage.
- Also, must have a working knowledge of the chemicals and equipment used to control fungi, insects, and weeds on the golf course.
- Incumbent must be certified, or certifiable as pesticide applicator by the Department of Defense, in the categories required for the use of the golf course.

- Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). - Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
