Clarification from the agency
U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Duties- Sets up bars for operation, obtains cash bank and stocks service bar.
- Assures an adequate stock level is maintained, sets up storeroom and work area to permit easy access to stock items.
- Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons and wait staff.
- Records sales and makes change or prepares charge slips.
- Keeps bar and work area clean and sanitary.
- Identifies persons who become unruly or who appear intoxicated, resolves the problem or seeks assistance in accordance with established procedures.
Conditions of Employment- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Must attend Team Member Orientation within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
- This is a flexible position. Flexible positions have no guaranteed hours. A flexible employee serves in a continuing position on a scheduled or as needed basis.
- Must be able to work varying and/or rotating shifts to include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para 2, to include a medical examination.
- All employees are required to be available for Community Events that Business Operations Division Supports. The events include but not limited to Octoberfest, Freedom Fest, Children’s Festival and Winterfest.
- Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
- Regularly lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds for prolonged periods.
- Stands for prolonged periods.
Minimum Qualifications:- Meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment.
- Be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds.
- Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
- Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
Six (6) months experience working as a bartender.
First Cut off will be 4/9/2025 **Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications and best qualifying criteria will be referred to the selecting official first.
